Bio
I'm an Austin fine art photographer. I specialize in documentary, product & lifestyle, travel, editorial, events, portrait, family portrait, pet, wedding & engagement, maternity, budoir, narratives, everyday stuff as art, color studies, graffiti, landscape, architecture, texture, and more.

Methodology & Education

I’m a purist – I shoot mostly using natural light. I don't heavily edit my work unless it's as an artistic treatment for a special project. I studied photography at The University of Texas at Austin and was classically trained in the darkroom, using a manual analog camera and 35 mm film. I developed film by hand and custom-printed photographs in the darkroom.

I still shoot film because I appreciate the original craft of photography and I prefer the results film offers. Part of a dying breed, I love the authenticity of something labor-intensive and that requires sensitive focus.

I do use digital as well - always a time and a place for everything! And I like being able to have a lower price point on digital, because much less labor and time is involved when not doing custom prints in the darkroom.
